The effect of magnolol and its benefits

Feb 27, 2021

The role of honokiol, honokiol is very common in our life, I believe many people have heard of it, because it can treat some diseases, so what is the role of honokiol?

1. Influence on gastrointestinal tract

Magnolia and its volatile oil taste bitter, can stimulate taste, reflex cause saliva, gastric juice secretion, gastrointestinal peristalsis, with the effect of stomach digestion.

Honokiol,

Ginger products and magnolol products have anti-gastric ulcer effect.

The anti-gastric ulcer effect of ginger was enhanced, but the anti-gastric ulcer effect of fried products was not obvious.

Magnolia and Magnolia are effective active ingredients for inhibiting gastric ulcer.

Honokiol can inhibit gastric ulcer caused by pyloric ligation and water flooding stress, and also can inhibit duodenal spasm caused by histamine to a certain extent.

Honokiol can significantly inhibit the secretion of gastric acid in anesthetized rats induced by intravenous injection of tetrapeptide, gastrin and carboxylcholine.

The antiulcer and antisecretory effects of honokiol are attributed in part to its central inhibitory effects, which are different from atropine, cimetidine, and dimethylprostaglandin E2.

The anti-ulcer effect of honokiol is produced not by nerve endings but by central inhibition.

Mulanzi decoction had an exciting effect on intestine and bronchus in isolated rabbits.

When the concentration of the decoction was 1:166, the decoction had an exciting effect on the small intestine of mice in vitro, and when the concentration of the decoction was 1:100, the decoction had an inhibitory effect on the small intestine of mice in vitro.

But the excitatory effect is not obvious, the inhibitory effect is strong.

2. The role of antiviral microorganisms

In vitro experiments showed that magnolol decoction had antibacterial effect on gram-positive bacteria such as staphylococcus, hemolytic streptococcus, pneumococcus, pertussis and gram-negative bacteria such as anthrax, dysentery, typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, vibrio cholerae, escherichia coli, proteus and bacillus subtilis.
