  • Green tea extract pre-Production equipment cleaning requirements are as follows: The inner wall of the device should be checked for natural color; equipment needs to be cleaned and washed with an artificial cleaning ball; pipelines laminated containers need to be soaked with a 5% lye heat for 2 hours or more, rinsed with tap water with Ph test strips, then washed again; pipes need to be cleaned and connected to high-pressure steam for 5 minutes or more, required equipment cleaning to pick beaker lowest, flow out of the residual flow liquid colorless, transparent, no impurities, no smell, can be used.

Secondly, the raw material requirements
Selection of high quality leaf species, summer tea material, inclusions of EGCG> 4.5%, less than 10% moisture control, no mildew, no impurities, holds a special tea fragrance raw material thickness from coarse pieces, in pieces, broken tea, Xiumei proportionally match. According to GMP requirements before storage of raw materials for review, send inclusions to QC testing, inspection and storage of the review after passing into use; test items are water, water extracts, raw sensory evaluation, inclusion detection of EGCG, caf and so on.

Thirdly, the extraction plant requirements
Extraction posts:
Thick film materials accounted for 70% by weight, thin slices and Xiumei, for 30%; commissioning after the first vote rough sheet feeding flakes or eyebrows; commissioning amount as three tons of extracting tank controlled at 150kg-200kg / cans, extraction temperature 80 degrees; extracted twice: the first time put 8 times the amount of water, the second also eight times the amount; after the first time put the finished water 0.5h, the second time after 20 discharged water, the water came alive again in the second, to ensure the extraction rate; extraction process on the circulating pump is about 15 minutes, do not open the agitation.

  • Extract Cooling: Extract released as soon as possible through the plate heat exchanger to cool to room temperature
  • Centrifuge tube: Cooled extract by high storage tank – to high-speed centrifuge tube, liquid per minute from 800L drum washable time after shutdown to ensure separation effect, and in the separation process using a beaker sampling, testing liquid separation.
  • low concentration: Liquid filtration or membrane with a membrane concentrator concentrated liquid every three tons capacity for the cycles of concentration, if the film was concentrated at 55 degrees or less, the membrane concentration controlled at 40 degrees, and concentrated hydraulic control in po plum 15
  • Spray Drying: Out promptly fed concentrate liquid spray tank, tower temperature controlled at 80-85 degrees, the product came out in a timely manner into the cool and dry place, every spray drying about 1h, clean the dust filter bag.

Fourthly: Product packaging operations requires screening clean area

  • To provide products in batches according to the number of detections QC tools, for 80 mesh sieve.
  • The amount of each batch of 500kg powder into the “V”-type blender and mixed for 30 minutes, the samples sent to the review, to be certified before the product packaging.
  • Package, 25kg / barrel, double layer film bags, vacuum packing.
  • Moisture absorption product, keep sealed, stored in a cool, dry and dark warehouses.

All About Green Tea Extract

In essence...
Green tea extract is made from the leaves of the camellia sinensis tea botanical.
Of all the types of tea that are derived from the same tea plant, green tea is known to be the least processed and thus retain more healthful properties.

History of green tea extract usage
Green tea extract, which comes in several forms, including powder, is made from the leaves of the camellia sinensis tea botanical. While several other types of tea are also derived from the same plant – black, white, and oolong, to name a few – green tea is known to be the least processed among the group and to thus retain more of its valuable, healthful properties.
Rich in polyphenols, catechins, and caffeine, green tea extract has been used in eastern traditional medicine.

How to choose perfect Green Tea Extract – 8 ways to recognize high-quality green tea extract

Evaluate its colour
One of the easiest ways to assess green tea extract quality is the evaluation of its colour. The tea bushes, the leaves of which green tea extract is produced from, undergo the process of shading with traditional bamboo mats. Thanks to such practice green tea extract is characterized by an incredibly deep green colour. The shade of green slightly varies depending on the harvest. The leaves that were harvested first result in powder of an intense, distinctive bright green colour. The leaves that are being harvested subsequently (during successively second and third harvests) are still of an intense green colour, although of a slightly fainter shade. And what if green tea extract powder is of a yellowish or brownish shade? You definitely should stay away from it. This means that green tea extract is old or was incorrectly stored, e.g. in the sun.

Test its structure
The rule is simple: the more finely ground the green tea extract powder, the higher its quality. A high-grade green tea extract is characterized by finely ground flecks. The diameter of a single fleck is estimated to be equal to the diameter of a pollen, which makes it so easy to blend with water. You should avoid powder that is visibly coarse-grained. In order to assess the thickness of the specks, you can resort to a certain simple test. It's enough to dip your finger in green tea extract powder and then ‘draw' a straight line on a piece of paper. The more finely ground the green tea extract, the longer the obtained line.

Smell it
Green tea extract scent is yet another indicator of its quality. It should be refreshing, grassy, of a subtle vegetable, sea aroma. If you can detect any notes of musty stench within the green tea extract powder, you totally should refrain from purchasing it.

Take a look at its packaging
Green tea extract shouldn't have any contact with sunlight or humidity. Therefore, if the packaging has any transparent elements, is made of a thin material or is not entirely sealed – the producer wasn't trying hard enough for sure. In such container green tea extract will quickly become mouldy and lose its properties.

Taste it
High-quality green tea extract is characterized by refreshing, sweetish, vegetable flavour of noticeable umami notes and subtle bitter aftertaste typical for green teas. The earlier the harvest, the sweeter and more delicate the taste of green tea extract powder. Green tea extract derived from later harvests will have stronger bitter undertones.

Look into its origin
When purchasing green tea extract, it is worth checking what is the country of its origin. The place most well known for production of green tea extract of the highest quality is definitely Japan – its time-honoured tradition and local, family-owned fields are the guaranty for green tea extract powder's highest standard.

Compare the prices
It's a somewhat trivial indicator – but oh, how accurate! Production of green tea extract of a high quality – especially the one derived from entirely ecological tea cultivation – requires a tremendous labour and time input. The price of green tea extract of a higher standard is higher than the price of green tea powder from a discount chain but it's a guaranty for a great taste and its quality.

Look for a certificate
An organic certificate is only granted for rigorously tested products, which fulfil all of the criteria for ecological cultivation. Green tea extract powder awarded with such certificate is beneficial both for mother nature and its consumers, as it was produced without the help of pesticides or artificial fertilizers.
